Expanding the field

In our previous post we stated that our field of operation would be "children around globe in general and in particular in the Philippines"; this field of operations is now set more accurate. "Children around the globe in general and children in South East Asia in particular". This will also be stated in the Memorandum.

The cause of the foundation

The main cause of the foundation will be to provides free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities. This in general for children around  the globe and in particular in the Philippines. This will be the primairy goal for the foundation; a secondary goal will be to provide (street) children with housing, education and other attendance. This secondary cause we will try to achieve by organizing housing, recruting teachers and social concerned young people.

A HEALTHY CHILD IS WHAT WE ALL WANT WHEN A CHILD IS BORN. 


Most of the children are born healthy and have no further medical problems; but we can not close our eyes for the fact that there are also children born with facial deformations like cleft lip, cleft palate or other facial deformations. When a child is born with a deformation in our country  (The Netherlands) there are lot of facilities to help child and parents. In The Philippines its often that children can not be helped because of the high cost for an operation and so on. Thats why we started an initiative to help those children by setting up a foundation and raise money to help. At this moment we are just at the beginning of this and by way of this blog I would like to keep you informed about the status of development. We allready received our first donations from our webdesigner (giving free months of subscription) and the notary which will set up the foundation for free.
We are also looking for people in the Philippines to support this initiative. So, inform your friends and let them follow this blog. I am sure that if we want we can make a difference for a lot of children with just a small amount of money.   t

Initiatief

Gezonde kinderen, dat is wat elke ouder wenst; overal ter wereld. 

Er zijn op deze wereld echter ook kinderen die geboren worden met een aangeboren afwijking in het gezicht en in het bijzonder kinderen die geboren worden met Schisis (hazenlip). In Nederland staat een team klaar om een kind, geboren met een dergelijke afwijking, te helpen. Door plastische chirurgie is een heleboel mogelijk en zullen de (sociale en psychische) effecten tot een minimum beperkt blijven. Kinderen die worden geboren in bijv. Zuid Oost Azie en met name de Filipijnen worden veelal niet geholpen aan de afwijking en blijven zo hun gehele leven met deze afwijking lopen (met alle psychische en sociale effecten van dien). Waarom deze kinderen niet geholpen worden aan de afwijking is duidelijk: bij de ouders is geen geld om de operatie betalen. Er wordt nu in Nederland een initiatief ontwikkelt om een stichting in het leven te roepen (ChildSmile) welke o.m. tot doel zal gaan hebben deze kinderen te helpen door het betalen van de operatie, het ontwikkelen van programma's voor zwangere vrouwen om deze aandoening zo veel als mogelijk tegen te gaan alsook het zoeken naar oplossingen en ontplooien van initiatieven en verstrekken van onderdak aan straatkinderen.

Dit blog wil u er van op de hoogte houden hoe een en ander verloopt. Wanneer de stichting opgericht wordt en wat u kunt doen om hiervan een succes te maken. Op dit moment wordt gewerkt aan het bouwen van een website; het design bureau heeft een eerste donatie gemaakt in de vorm van een aantal maanden gratis gebruik. De tweede donatie komt van notaris mr J. Wolf welke de statuten van de stichting gratis zal opzetten.

Wie zich verder na het lezen voelt  aangesproken en zich voor dit doel wil inzetten; er zijn nog bestuursfuncties beschikbaar.

U wordt vanaf nu op de hoogte gehouden van de ontwikkelingen binnen dit initiatief middels dit blog.

Het eerste wat zal volgen is een omschrijving van de doelstelling van de stichting.
